When you engage FOCUS to conduct your Building and/or Pest Report, we ensure that you are getting maximum value and information by offering you the option of InfraRed Thermal Imaging in conjunction with your standard report. This is done at the same time as the standard visual inspection.
A ‘more sure’ Inspection
A standard Building and Pest inspection is a visual inspection and relies upon the inspector’s expertise and experience to ‘find’ any problems within and without the structure of the property and its immediate surrounds. The usual methods incorporated into the Australian Standards are the use of the naked eye, a specially designed ‘tapping stick’ and a moisture meter. A Borescope camera with bright light may also be used in addition to this if a more invasive inspection is called for.
Eliminate doubt! Above and beyond the usual standard inspection process, we offer the option of a specialised InfraRed Thermal Imaging Camera which can enable the Inspector to detect anomalies which may not normally be detectable with the naked eye therefore offering a more sure and detailed inspection.
An added Investigative Inspection using Infrared Thermography offers a fuller coverage examination, thereby minimising the risk of missing any ‘hidden’ problems, such as:
InfraRed Thermography can provide crucial information to your decision making process before you make your investment. The extra amount invested to employ this method of inspection is minimal – ask us about this service when making your booking.
FOCUS inspectors are trained in accordance with The Infraspection Institute of Infrared Thermography, staffed by highly experienced, Level III Certified Infrared Thermographers.
